Director Statement
My work as an author, director and film producer is defined by the motto: "Pictures indicate the silence between words." With this in mind, I strive for imagery committed to people and aesthetics for my documentary projects, for which I am happy to use artistic means to make them metaphorically deeper.
I move in three thematic areas, which intersect in individual film projects:
1. contemporary history’s deep abrasions through the reconstruction of a person’s biography, which reflects historical events, the consequences of which extend into our time;
2. art history and contemporary history reflections based on the highly aesthetically-demanding filmic description of the history of the life and work of an artistically creative person, in whose biography aesthetic development trajectories focus on content-related and formal statements, which extend beyond the day;
3. philosophical reflections using the documentary and aesthetic treatment of a topic that is highly relevant to the self-image of the people of our time.
