Mike from Ireland is back in Quebec where he spent much of his youth after living in the southern United States with his parents. Unfortunately he is sequestered in an abandoned basement by Jimmy, the mafia owner of the B&B bar in Montreal. Jimmy hired Mike to work in his bar a few months earlier. Jimmy has good reason to keep Mike there, a story of love and loyalty. Why is Mike in this predicament ? What does Jimmy want ? As the cinematic progresses, we will understand why Mike is in this situation and what jimmy wants from him

Interview with Filmmaker Olivier Lafrance
1. What motivated you to make this film?
Is quite simply the passion for cinema. Being my first film, this was almost all the scenes that I had been terribly wanting to tell for several years. I've always had an interest in gangster films and retrospective films.
2. From the idea to the finished product, how long did it take for you to make this film?
First of all I was already writing a long feature movie, but I decided to direct a short before making the long. I would say it took around 5 months over all from the idea to the festival applications.
3. How would you describe your film in two words?!
Find Truth.
4. What was the biggest obstacle you faced in completing this film?
I would say the biggest obstacle was in the Editing room when we needed to cut some scene. We Always wanted to keep everything because we remember when we filmed all these scene and the fun and passion we had filming it. So, it's Always a difficult choice.
5. What was your initial reactions when watching the audience talking about your film in the feedback video?
I realize that it is very motivating to see people take the time to comment on my film. I was also very happy to see that the story and the basic dialogue were very appreciated and in my opinion this is the basis before anything in a movie.
6. When did you realize that you wanted yo make films?
I realize I wanted to make movie when, one day, I ask myself ; what can I do that dosen't take my Energy and want to make it again and again.
7. What film have you seen the most in your life?
My favorite movie is Once Upon a time in Hollywood, even if it's not a really old movie I loved all the color, caracter and the story behind it. After this one I would say that i loved Blow Up 1966 from Michelangelo Antonioni.
8. What other elements of the festival experience can we and other festivals implement to satisfy you and help you further your filmmaking career?
The most important element for me is to put me in contact with the right person. So, with as many people that love my movie style as possible.
9. You submitted to the festival via FilmFreeway. How has your experiences been working on the festival platform site?
Perfect film freeway is really clear and easy to use
10. What is your favorite meal?
I love chicken wings haha!
11. What is next for you?
There are a lot of things that are coming up for me. I just finished write a dark comedy gangster features film of 107 pages and currently working on a new short film about a gifted student in class that see things that nobody knows.
