What motivated me to make "Love and Shadows"?

"Love and Shadows" originally started as a film with a female vampire lead. An associate of mine reviewed the working script and gave valuable suggestions. I proposed that he write the script while I direct and produce it. That's how "Love and Shadows" came to be.
The film took about 72 hours to complete.

How would I describe the film in two words?

Dark and complex.

What was the biggest obstacle I faced completing this film?

Finding someone to edit the film was the biggest challenge. I couldn't find an editor, and I've since realized the importance of having at least a basic understanding to at least a rough cut.

What were my initial reactions to watching the audience discuss my film in the feedback video?

I was elated. It's always wonderful to have others watch something you've created and provide feedback that helps you improve as an artist and connect with the audience emotionally.

When did I realize I wanted to make this film?

There was never a question; I've always wanted to make films. I aspire to create content that connects with a broad audience and sparks meaningful conversations.

What film have I seen most in my life?

"The Wizard of Oz."

What other elements of the festival experience can we and other festivals implement to satisfy you and help you further your filmmaking career?

A mentorship-like scenario could be beneficial. It would provide guidance on the next steps to transition from film festivals to independent films, including pitching ideas, fundraising, development, production, and distribution.

My experience on the FilmFreeway Festival platform has been excellent, no complaints whatsoever.

What is my favorite meal?

I don't have a favorite meal; I'm quite open to various cuisines.

What is next for me?

I'm currently working on developing a documentary series idea, with all the key components in place. I'm seeking guidance to prepare it for pitching and eventual production. Additionally, I plan to shoot another short film with the working title "In Her Image" and adapt a short I previously did into a feature-length film called "Color of Love."
