Get to know the writer:
What is your screenplay about?
My screenplay is a Dark Comedy parody of the terrible condition of the entire Millennial generation. They are the first generation in human history to be "worse off" than their parents. They have a harder time finding work or a place within society due to their "woke" state. The screenplay also highlights the lack of understanding of Baby Boomers and Gen X's toward the plight of the Millennials.
What genres does your screenplay fall under?
Comedy, Dark Comedy, Parody
Why should this screenplay be made into a movie?
Because it calls attention to many issues of the time, and it's damn funny, which means it goes down easier.
How would you describe this script in two words?
Delicious Sarcasm
What movie have you seen the most times in your life?
As Good as It Gets with Jack Nickelson
How long have you been working on this screenplay?
For about 3 months.
How many stories have you written?
Books 7 Short Stories 4 Novellas 1 Screenplay 5 Documentaries 1
What is your favorite song? (Or, what song have you listened to the most times in your life?)
The Climb by Miley Cyrus
What obstacles did you face to finish this screenplay?
The demands of marriage and being the parent of 2 Millennials and two Gen Zs. Also, one of my children is Autistic. I'm also in a minority in my country that isn't usually given any attention at all.
Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?
Autism Awareness, Creativity Coaching, Conducting Writing Workshops
You entered your screenplay via FilmFreeway. What have been your experiences working with the submission platform site?
I find it easy. It's just a bit expensive, and to be honest, I don't know if I've ever really gained anything real by submitting.
What influenced you to enter the festival? What were your feelings on the initial feedback you received?
I wanted to see if I'm really a good writer, or do I just think I'm a good writer. I wanted my work to be evaluated by professionals. I was extremely happy to go on to win 15 screenwriting awards from all over the world. I think it's safe to say that I'm a talented writer.
