FLASH DRIVE, 12min., Russia
Directed by Anton Mischenko
Three gangsters come to a man to take a flash drive with a lot of crypto. Pretty deep criminal comedy.
Get to know the filmmaker:
1. What motivated you to make this film?
> Actually the was not a specific motivation. I was 12 y.o. when I first saw Guy Ritchie's "Snatch", and I guess that was the moment I felt in love with that genre (criminal comedy). Time to time for the last 7 or 10 years a kinda thought about write and shot something this genre. And finally it just happened.
2. From the idea to the finished product, how long did it take for you to make this film?
> I guess it took about 4 month to clean up the script + to film the movie, and it took 6 month to edit, CC, Sound mix. It's always slow when you have no budget, you know :)
3. How would you describe your film in two words!?
> "Butt joke" hahahah)
4. What was the biggest obstacle you faced in completing this film?
> As I said, the most difficult part of creating is actually to make people help you for free. It's always easy to say "yes" ay the beginning, but when they have to choose between payed job and non-commercial film-making, the choice is obvious.
5. What were your initial reactions when watching the audience talking about your film in the feedback video?
> I want to thank you for this opportunity to listen to someone's reactions. especially еур reaction of foreign audience. Cuz you know, it's nice to know that jokes work for native speakers, but it's awesome if we could make people laugh in other countries.
7. What film have you seen the most in your life?
> I bet it is Guy Ritchie's "Snatch". Maybe 40-50 times i guess haha) I also love Lock stock and two smoking barrels, RocknRolla, Pulp fiction, Four Rooms, Boondock Saints, The Big Lebowski, Thursday (1998).
8. What other elements of the festival experience can we and other festivals implement to satisfy you and help you further your filmmaking career?
> I do not know how it works, but right now I'm trying to find money for my next short film. If festivals somehow can help me with this, it ll be awesome =)
9. You submitted to the festival via FilmFreeway. How has your experiences been working on the festival platform site?
> It was ok. very convenient.
11. What is next for you? A new film?
> Yes, I have new script ready for filming, but have no idea where to get around $10 000)

‘Gary’ is a loving and devoted father. He is a family-man and very proud of it. And even though he loves spending time with his family, during his ‘me time’, he indulges in gangsta movies and westerns.
