DENTRO, 3min., Italy
Directed by Camila Freiha
The Dentro film series, comprising five distinct chapters, serves as the inaugural video campaign for the accessories brand. These chapters are a creative exploration of Dentro bags, drawing metaphorical connections to different aspects of the human body. Shot across two unique locations - the leather goods factory in Verona and a Parisian studio - the series seeks to establish Dentro as a luxury brand renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship and elevated status.

Get to know the filmmaker:
1.What motivated you to make this film?
- It was a tremendous pleasure to make this film. I received an invitation from the brand owner, Isa Kauffman, who is a lifelong great friend. Besides deeply respecting her brilliant work as a designer, I have profound admiration for her entire artistic journey, having closely followed her development since childhood. The exchange process with Isa was extremely enriching and delightful.
2. From concept to the final product, how long did it take to make this film?
- From concept to the final product, it took us about 6 months. The most challenging part was coordinating schedules since I live in Brazil, and we filmed in Italy and France.
3. How would you describe your film in two words!?
- I can't describe anything in two words; I apologize.
4. What was the biggest obstacle you faced in completing this film?
- Our biggest obstacles were indeed the distances and time zones between continents, but nothing we couldn't reconcile.
5. What were your initial reactions when watching the audience talking about your film in the feedback video?
- I found this festival format, where we receive audience reactions to watch, super cool. I was very happy to see that many people described the scenes with exactly the same words we used when planning them. It shows that we achieved what we wanted even though it's not a non-linear narrative.
6. When did you realize that you wanted to make films?
- My father already worked in the industry when I was a child, so I don't remember when I first visited a film set. As far back as I can remember, I already wanted to work with it.
7. What film have you seen the most in your life?
- I watch and rewatch Almodóvar's work. Sometimes I take some time away, but I always come back to his works in my references.
8. What other elements of the festival experience can we and other festivals implement to satisfy you and help you further your filmmaking career?
- I think festivals help us not only to promote our work but also to connect with other works and wonderful professionals around the world. This environment enriches any creative mind. As I mentioned in a previous answer, it was super cool to see the reactions of some people, understanding how communication is completed on the other end. I believe that strengthening this connection between professionals and creators from various audiovisual departments is the best part of the experience.
9. You submitted to the festival via FilmFreeway. How has your experiences been working on the festival platform site?
- I really like the FilmFreeway platform. It's super convenient to access festivals worldwide through it, as all the film material is already on the platform ready for it.
10. What is your favorite meal?
- My favorite meal is breakfast. Here in Brazil, we have a type of cheese bread made with tapioca that is great for Sunday breakfasts.
11. What is next for you? A new film?
- I continue working in the advertising market in São Paulo and working on personal projects. Early next year, I will be filming a music video in Bahia.
