BEHIND CLOSED DOORS, 4min., South Africa
Directed by Lenore Banton
Amelia learns that her sister, Cassandra, is being abused by her husband. In that moment, Amelia recollects from her memories where things started to go wrong and how she failed to notice the signs. Amelia returns to the present and rushes to her sister's aid. Amelia and Cassandra flee the cabin but the situation goes into disarray, leading up to Cassandra killing Brutus.
Director Biography - Lenore Banton
My name is Lenore Banton. I am from Johanessburg. Animation is important to me as it allows one to tell a story and convey a multitude of emotions along with unique ideas that are easy to understand and appreciate for both children and adults alike. Animation can also be creatively used to impart public education in an easy-to-understand but creative way. Our vision and goal towards the film was to create a film that is visually pleasing to the audience watching it as well as to showcase our skills and what we learned during our years as students.
