Get to know the filmmaker:

1. What motivated you to make this film?

Usually our company is producing corporate movies and event films, but we wanted to expand our work of field and thought, that a short would be a good opportunity to live out our desire of making fictional content.

2. From the idea to the finished product, how long did it take for you to make this film?

We found the screenplay on the internet in late 2022 and shot und February 2023. Post production was done in march 2023. We didn't work 8 hours per day though ;-)

3. How would you describe your film in two words!?

Thrillingly twisty

4. What was the biggest obstacle you faced in completing this film?

As we are Germans we naturally faced the difficulties of making a movie in a foreign language. Also we wanted it to look „American", so the production design needed to be spot on.

5. What were your initial reactions when watching the audience talking about your film in the feedback video?

Awesome! What a treat! Of course we received good responses from people that we know, but their feedback was more general. The audience feedback was way more detailed and the people showed, that they have a genuine knowledge of film making / film analysis which was really nice for us to receive.

6. When did you realize that you wanted to make films?

Since I watched THE MATRIX in 1999.

7. What film have you seen the most in your life?

Many, but I give you three:
The Matrix
The Dark Knight
Drive

8. What other elements of the festival experience can we and other festivals implement to satisfy you and help you further your filmmaking career?

For an online festival we really got a lot so far. Maybe a trophy for the winners would be nice and maybe a live award ceremony.

9. You submitted to the festival via FilmFreeway. How has your experiences been working on the festival platform site?

Excellent.

10. What is your favorite meal?

Again, there are so many things I could name but the first thing that came to my mind was Lasagne.

11. What is next for you? A new film?

Yes. Apart from our daily work we would like to take a step further and produce a feature film.
