Get to know the filmmaker:
1. What motivated you to make this film?
Supreme Court Justice William O Douglas is one of the most undersung influential public figures of the 20th century. His legacy deserves to be acknowledged. His thought and values are fundamental to a democratic society
2. From the idea to the finished product, how long did it take for you
to make this film?
I consider this short film a prelude or demonstration video to illicit support for a long form film.
3. How would you describe your film in two words!?
Environmental Justice
4. What was the biggest obstacle you faced in completing this film?
Funding
5. What were your initial reactions when watching the audience talking
about your film in the feedback video?
Fairly comprehensive and mostly thoughtful.
6. When did you realize that you wanted to make films?
As far back as high school watching late night "theatre" and subsequently bought a used Nikon F camera.
7. What film have you seen the most in your life?
A FILM...I couldn't possible name one.
8. What other elements of the festival experience can we and other
festivals implement to satisfy you and help you further your filmmaking
career?
More public screenings.
9. You submitted to the festival via FilmFreeway. How has your
experiences been working on the festival platform site?
FIlmFreeway seems to be well oiled and certainly helps small films and underfunded filmmakers exploit the internet world we live in.
10. What is your favorite meal?
Italian --- across the board.
11. What is next for you? A new film?
Continue to develop this long gestating project and hope the exposure in film festivals leads to backing for an expanded film.
