Get to know filmmaker Joseph J. Parisi:
1. What motivated you to make this film?
We've been working in the TV/ Film industry for over 17 years and never had the chance to make something that was "ours" and we decided to make something short, sweet and to the point!
2. From the idea to the finished product, how long did it take for you to make this film?
Honestly, we made it all in less than 3-4 days. With our experience in the industry, we were able to effectively and successfully execute our mission.
3. How would you describe your film in two words!?
Mini Masterpiece!
4. What was the biggest obstacle you faced in completing this film?
The biggest obstacle was choosing specific takes! They all came out pretty good!
5. What were your initial reactions when watching the audience talking about your film in the feedback video?
We laughed and watched in awe! It's always good to hear that people connect with your art, and to be able to share art is such great feeling in itself!
6. When did you realize that you wanted to make films?
I think we both knew we wanted to be a part of the TV/ Film industry at a young age, But it was Ghostbusters and Jurassic Park that made us really want to create our own films. Probably around 10 or so lol.
I know that probably ages us lol.
7. What film have you seen the most in your life?
Ghostbusters. Hands down.
8. What other elements of the festival experience can we and other festivals implement to satisfy you and help you further your filmmaking career?
I think this experience has been great for us! We love being able to see and connect with people as well as enjoy seeing other peoples work!
Being able to watch people react to our work was incredible and inspiring for us!
9. You submitted to the festival via FilmFreeway. How has your experiences been working on the festival platform site?
We love FilmFreeway. We have always been treated great and have been satisfied with our service from them.
10. What is your favorite meal?
Anything Italian lol
11. What is next for you? A new film?
We're putting the finishing touches on our script for feature length film! It will include our characters from Shooting Your Own Shadow!
