ODE TO AN INANIMATE COMPANION, 9min., Singapore
Directed by Susan Lim, Christina Teenz Tan, Samudra Kajal Saikia
This is a fictional fantasy, of a plush inanimate toy ALAN, which serves as a companion to a child Christina all through her growing up years. It explores an endearing human to inanimate relationship, from bedroom, to college, as Christina takes the Inanimate with her, to be her companion through medical school. With the passage of time, the girl blossoms into a young adult, while the inanimate sadly observes that its body has wizened through the years. It faces up to reality, and makes a bold decision.
