BOATHOUSE ROW, 17min., USA, Documentary
Directed by Ethan Knecht
Boathouse Row is a personal essay documentary about rowing, manic depression, and fatherhood. It is about my grandfather, Bill Knecht, who at one point was someone who was able to row a boat faster than anyone in the world. It's about my father, Dan Knecht, who, after Bill died, spent the majority of his life sleeping and going to the movies. It is also about my struggle to finish this film.
