A fascinating short documentary on a traditional glassmaker deep in the southern German Black Forest, and his thoughts and feelings about what this 7000-year-old craft has taught him about life.

Music by Aleksandar Zavišin
Subject: Dirk Bürklin
Director Statement
I am interested in personalities, concepts and visions that challenge today's norms and standards, as I feel that many people today have become walking cliches and stereoptypes of mainstream perceptions. Those who challenge the world as prescribed by the majority are the ones with the vision and ability to change the world into a better version of itself.
