The story telling the journey of the 3rd and 5th generation women from a family who had to leave the country because of the population exchange between Turkey and Greece. Will they be able to take their families’ soil from their graves to their homeland, Kavala?

Director Biography:
She was born in 1988 in Izmir. In 2010, she graduated from Ege University Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, TV and Cinema and in 2016, she graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Fine Arts Institute Film Design Department. She wrote her master thesis about “Effect Makeup in Turkish Horror Cinema after 2000’s”. She developed her cinema education with workshops by Marijke Rawie, Mikael Opstrup, Miriam Norgaard and Audrius Stonys.
She has been working as an educator at İzmir Bornova Municipality Digital Film Workshop since 2014, coordinating film screening & analysis activities and various workshop activities. The short film works in the catogories of documentary and fiction has been accepted to the projects of domestic and international project development workshops, screenings and awards. She is working on her new films.
