Director Statement
As a 2D animator and illustrator, I want to make moving images that move people’s hearts. Having cried, laughed, and expressed myself through illustrated characters all my life, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing people connect with the emotionality of my visual stories.
My creative practice focuses on capturing emotional experiences based on the idea that human emotions are a universal language humanity speaks, one which transcends time, place, and culture. The reason we can celebrate diversity is because, at the core, we are all marked by the same seal of humanity - the ability to experience emotions. I aspire to make cinematic animations where an emotional experience can be abstracted and delivered to connect with other humans, about being human.
